In 1997, two pioneering agencies came together to create an innovative new concept in the automotive industry. Their vision was clear: maximize every dealer's F&I income by combining world-class training, strict compliance processes, and proven performance systems — all delivered with a hands-on, results-driven approach. That foundational expertise still powers everything we do today.
In 2005, the company was formally established as Finance Concepts, LLC in California under the leadership of partners Brent Goodall, Perry Montoya, and Jeff Burnett. With Perry Montoya and Jeff Burnett at the helm, the company experienced exceptional growth by delivering exactly what dealers needed: monthly performance reporting, AFIP-certified trainers who have actually worked in the trenches, customized product mixes, and premium F&I solutions — including dealer-owned reinsurance programs — that put real money back in dealership owners' pockets.
A major milestone came in 2017 when Portfolio Reinsurance acquired a majority interest in Finance Concepts, recognizing us as one of the nation's finest and largest-producing F&I agencies. This partnership supercharged our resources and national reach while keeping the same passionate leadership team intact — ensuring our high-touch, personalized service never changed.
Today, we proudly serve more than 200 dealerships nationwide from our headquarters in Rancho Cordova, California, with satellite support across the country.
